Hello Noblesville Girls Softball Families! 

We had some wonderful weather this past week – I hope you got outside to take advantage (and maybe throw around a softball or swing bat!). We’re getting so close! 

Thank you so much for choosing to play with us this spring! We have another record year! 

Our winter clinics were a huge success. Thank you to those that participated! And thank you to the Noblesville High School softball coaching staff and team for investing in our program and our girls. Truly celebrities in our eyes! 🤩

📅✨ Important Dates 

As the season approaches, there are lots of dates to keep track of. Below is a list of dates to mark on your calendar. 

Your coaches should be reaching out to you soon. We hosted the coaches in our coach kickoff meeting on Saturday, March 15. We may still be making minor roster adjustments, but largely, everything is set. 

• March 2 (Sunday): Registration closes (sign up now!) 

• March 15 (Saturday): Coaches Meeting (location: NEMS, LGI Room, 2-4PM) 

• March 24 (Monday): Parent Meeting/Team Meet & Greet – NEMS Cafeteria 

  • 6U/8U: 6:00PM 

  • 10U/12U/14U+: 7:30PM 

• March 31-April 11 (Monday-Friday): Spring Break 

• April 13: First week of practices

• April 25 (Friday): Opening Day Celebration – Promise Road Elementary, Back Parking Lot/Ball Field 

• April 26 (Saturday): Opening Day games 🥎🎉😎 

• Picture Day: TBD 

• June 14 (Saturday): Final weekend of games 

  • 8U in-house tournament:  June 13 (Friday evening)/June 14 (Saturday).

  • 10U/12U county tournament:  Week of June 9. Games will be played through the week. Final rec season games will be held on Saturday, June 14.

  • 14U+: No tournament. 

As a reminder, 6U game/practices have moved to Saturday. They are no longer on Monday evenings. 

🚧 Field Updates 

We’re super excited about the field updates we’ll be making this year. 

We’re going to make MAJOR improvements to the ball fields. Here’s what you can expect: 

• Field surfaces laser-graded and leveled. 

• All new playing surface and top-dress. 

• Improved dugout floor surface and fencing. 

This will make our fields safer, help with water handling and drainage, and overall make the fields more fun to play on. 

A HUGE thank you to Noblesville Schools for your help in coordinating with us on this project! 

🍿🙏 Fundraising 

As many of you know, we are still in search of our forever home. While we’re pouring into our current fields with Noblesville Schools, we’re also looking toward the future. 

We’re hosting a league-wide fundraiser this spring. The goal is to raise $50 by selling $100 worth of popcorn. It’s an online-only fundraiser, so you don’t need to handle money, or inventory! You can go ahead and get started now by setting up your online store. 

We’ll also be doing a handful of dine-to-donates throughout the spring and summer. We’ve got an excellent assortment of opportunities to raise money for Noblesville Girls Softball simply by eating at the places you would normally be eating at anyway!

Be on the lookout for those on our Facebook page. Make sure to share them far and wide so we can have the biggest possible impact!

🤨🧐 Choosing Equipment 

Choosing the right equipment can be difficult, especially if you’re just starting out, or even if you’re experienced! There are so many options for everything. We’ve all been there – you're at Dick’s or Academy (or Amazon) and you’re just overwhelmed. 

I’ve found that a little research ahead of time can help quite a bit in the moment. I’ve found these resources at Dick’s to be helpful in steering in the right direction. 

I’ll also say – this time of year there are lots of great finds on Facebook Marketplace and Play-it-again sports. Additionally, we’ll have a table set up at the Meet-and-Greet to donate outgrown gear and pick up something you might need!

🥎⭐️ Opening Day Celebration 

We’re excited to announce that we’re bringing back Opening Day Celebration!

We’re going to host our entire softball community out at Promise Road Elementary for opening day ceremonies. Come celebrate with us! We’ll have: 

• Live announcement of each team 

• Silent auction with lots of great items 

• Contests 

• Games 

• and more!
