šŸ¤Æ Spring Registration, šŸ„¶ Winter Clinics, šŸŽŠ Happy Holidays

Hello Noblesville Girls Softball Families!Ā

Spring rec registration is open!

ā„ļøšŸ„¶ Winter ClinicsĀ

We started our winter clinic season with some pitching clinics. Our girls came out and worked hard with a couple of the varsity high school pitchers.Ā

Great job pitchers! Weā€™re looking forward to seeing everyone else later in the winter for our free indoor clinics. Ā

Weā€™re still planning our fielding and hitting clinics next year. Be on the lookout for those!Ā

šŸ“…Ā Registration Is OpenĀ

Itā€™s hard to believe that our spring season is already fast approaching! Did we already mention that registration is open?Ā

Registration for our spring rec season just opened and closes on February 29, 2024. We all get an extra day to register; thank you leap year! šŸ™Ā However, donā€™t wait till then, go register now. This newsletter will still be here once you finish registering.Ā

A softball registration (and a season full of memories with friends) could make a great Christmas present!Ā

Consider volunteering as a coach or help the board as an age group commissioner or sponsorship coordinator. If youā€™re interested in helping, or have questions, reach out to Jon at [email protected].Ā

Financial assistance is available. Email Jon at [email protected].Ā

šŸ“• Rule ChangesĀ

Weā€™re always on the lookout to improve our program. Our primary goals are to make the game more enjoyable for our girls by giving more and better opportunities to learn the game and develop their skills. This keeps them in the program longer, which leads to longer lasting friendships and further development of real life, off-the-field skills.Ā

10U is the transition year from coach-pitch to player pitch. Oftentimes, it feels like a 3-person game: pitcher, catcher, batter. Weā€™re looking to make some changes to our 10U program this spring to help keepĀ the rest of the field engaged. It might take a few iterations to get it right but know weā€™re watching closely (and will be seeking your feedback) as the season progresses.Ā

Weā€™ll explain these changes in detail once we get them all ironed out and as we get closer to spring season.Ā

šŸš§ Field UpdateĀ

Weā€™re still working to make sure the fields at the 4 elementary schools will be ready by spring! More progress is happening each week.Ā

While itā€™s sad our old home is slowly being dismantled, itā€™s an exciting time to be starting a new chapter for our girls and our program.Ā

As a reminder, weā€™ve partnered with Noblesville Schools to help with our interim softball fields. Weā€™re developing fields at North, Hinkle Creek, Stony Creek, and Promise Road elementary schools. Weā€™ll practice at those fields and then also play some games at East and West middle school fields. If you have questions, look at our FAQ here.Ā

Thanks again to our partners at Noblesville Schools and Beaver Materials for all the help and support!Ā

Our friends at Noblesville Schools are working hard to make sure weā€™ll have the time and space we need for our girls to have a great spring season. (Thanks especially to Joan Lawrence!)Ā
